Hey guys, I'm back with a new, free crochet pattern; a pretty flower headband! This one's super simple, but also super elegant. Personally I think it would be amazing for a wedding! Either the flower girl or the bride. :)
The pattern for the flower is one I found on pinterest, from the site mimuu.com. Click here or click the photo to go to the pattern!
Supplies
-
2 strands Paton's lace yarn* in colorway vintage, or any fingering weight (2) yarn you like. If it's a little fuzzy like mohair it looks even more delicate, I think! (*affiliate link)
-
3.5 mm hook
-
yarn needle
Follow the flower pattern exactly at mimuu and come back here!
This headband is two stranded. Insert your hook, with the back side of the flower facing you, into one of the dc stitches. Then start chaining! I did 85 chains for my very average sized head, so that'll probably be a good number for most teens and adults. Some trial and error may be necessary depending on your yarn.
Join your chain to the dc next-to-the-next dc. Then do it again!
Then weave in your ends and you've got a purdy little headband. Because of the yarn, the flower shape is a little different from the original, so if you use Paton lace yarn you might want to do 5 petals instead of 6?
