Crochet Pattern: Ice Cream Sandwich Crossbody Bag

Continuing on my crochet bags kick, here's a new crochet bag pattern! This one is an ice cream sandwich!

She is a very good girl. Just look at her. She'll never break your heart. She'll definitely never make you cry. She'd rather die than live without you. She might be a member of the backstreet boys, who knows?

And yes, this is another zippered bag! I'm having a lot of fun with zippers these days. This bag is a bit 3D as well, so it can fit A LOT of stuff.

The crochet on this one is simple, but the techniques and all of the sewing means it's definitely more of an intermediate level pattern. You'll also need to block your pieces in this pattern! I think I've only released 1 or 2 other patterns that required blocking, but it's definitely necessary for your bag to be FLAT! Personally I just use my yoga mat, because I'm too cheap to buy blocking mats lol.

Supplies

WeCrochet Wool of the Andes yarn - 2 strands held together for most of the project
4mm hook
yarn needle
9 inch zipper + matching needle & thread

About the yarn

So the Wool of the Andes yarn is listed as worsted (weight 4), but...I'm not sure why. It's definitely dk (weight 3). Maybe you could call it light worsted, but I really feel like it's dk. So if you want to sub yarn, buy dk instead of worsted. Otherwise your bag will come out quite a bit larger. Which, might be attractive to you? So of course use your best judgement.
