Eyyyy it's 70s time! It's really interesting how current fashion trends are picking and choosing stuff from the 70s, 90s, and the aughts, and just mashing them all together, right? Interesting, weird, ugly...whatever you want to call it LOL.

But regardless of how I or you feel about it, that's what's happening! So I thought it would be fun to put together a 70s inspired flower bag. :)

The crochet pattern is available here at HELLOhappy, Etsy, Ravelry, Ribblr, LoveCraftsand soon at WeCrochet!

I'd call this an advanced beginner pattern. It uses simple stitches, but working in chain spaces might be a little funky for beginners. The strap is simple, so you can just tie it in knots to carry it the way you'd like! The bag works as a normal purse, but also a small water bottle carrier.

It's made of 2 flower squares in the front, and one solid rectangle panel in the back. But you could make 4 flower squares instead. Or make 2 flower squares and sew them together as a square bag! Or make a bunch of flower squares and turn it into a larger shoulder bag. Tons of options! Same with the colors. You could go pastel, or even all 1 color. Or the flower one color, and the final rows a different color. Have fun with it!!
