Crochet Pattern: Hanging Cat Basket

Make an adorable hanging cat basket with this crochet pattern! When squished flat, the basket is about 8 inches tall and 8.5 inches wide. These baskets would be great in any craft room or kids room. Make a whole bunch of them in different colors! You will need a stick or dowel rod to hang your cat basket from. The one I used for the photo was larger than necessary, but it was what I had on hand. One rod 1” in diameter, cut to about 10“ long would be perfect I think.

Pattern level: Intermediate (or advanced beginner). Must be comfortable working in the round, using an intermediate level stitch, changing colors, sewing on small parts, and embroidering facial features.

Sizes included: one size, 8 inches tall and 8.5 inches wide.

- super bulky (weight 6) yarn
- 9mm hook
- yarn needle
- large stick or dowel rod
