Hey guys, I just made this triangle scarf out of the 2 skeins of Lionbrand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick that I’ve had for months. Probably 6 months. That poor yarn was so lonely.
I used the color “Moonlight” which has always looked like an old, hand-me-down sweater to me. In fact, I used exactly 2 skeins with nothing leftover! Pretty darn perfect. You can grab it here on amazon*. Also I’ve always thought “hudson bay” looks like a dorm room, in a gross but loveable way.

The pattern I used was from ravelry, called the Trondheim Shawl.
It calls for a fingering weight yarn, but I didn’t let that stop me bahaha. I first started looking for triangle patterns for super bulky yarn, but I didn’t really connect with any of them, so I broadened my search and this simple little baby was just what I wanted.
Materials
– super bulky weight 5 yarn (I used lion brand wool-ease thick & quick)
– 12mm hook
Pattern repeat
I worked the pattern exactly as written with no changes. I ended up with 13 total rows with just enough yarn left to make a tassel. It’s kind of short for a tassel though, tbh I wish I had made it a little longer with fewer strands. Oh well, live and learn!
Notes
I have a really skinny neck so some people might need 14-20 rows, which will take more yarn, but you’ll have to figure that out yourself!
This would look really good alternated with another yarn color. Mustard would be gorgeous. <3 Or spearmint, cabernet, blossom…yeah a lot of them.
It looks good under a jacket, too!
