I'm back with a new pattern, introducing my Forest Spirit Bucket Hat!

You could be normal, or you could crochet yourself an entire mini-ecosystem and wear it on your head. The choice is yours!

 

This pattern was actually a collab I did with my friend Shelby of Yarn Witch Crafts. We kind of had similar ideas for different items, so we decided to do a joint release! Her adorable Woodsy Wanderer Leg Warmers are available at her website.

 

 

A funny thing happened when we started sharing photos of our WIPs: we were using the same brown yarn! Big Twist Tweed is just too good, apparently.

 

 

 

Now I must warn all reading: this delightful mossy tree stump hat pattern is absolutely not for beginners! This uses a lot of intermediate techniques, some stitches I made up, and a LOT of creative thinking with placement. If you're a super adventurous beginner, the type who loves to spend time watching youtube tutorials you find on your own, practicing new stitches on swatches, and being extremely independent, then this will be a fun project to really increase your skills and knowledge. But if not, I wouldn't recommend this until you've got lots more projects under your belt. This pattern uses fpdc, bpdc, surface crochet, and variations on stitches I might have made up myself.

The best part of this hat is how endlessly customizable it is! You can make more or less of every element, and place them however you like. Make your forest witch dreams come true! I called the hat "forest spirit" but only because that's less controversial lol. Truly in my heart, this is the hat of a witch or fae that captures men for fun, okay?

Don't make her angry, you might not live to regret it. 😏
